  • London Theatre Direct - Show cancellation/ Voucher in place of refund

Purchased theatre tickets for a birthday celebration via London Theatre Direct, show has since been cancelled (opening postponed) following government advice. I have been issued a voucher for the value of tickets in place of a refund. Given I will have to make new plans for daughters birthday & am not sure when I will be able to reschedule the group right now would prefer a refund. Is this not my right given the show was cancelled?

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi LCAT36

There will be T & C's that apply to the tickets purchased. I would write to London Theater Direct requesting a refund, explain your circumstances, see what they have to say. If they won't refund, depending on how you paid, credit or debit card (providing the relevant claim periods are met) make a claim against your card issuer. The card issuer will expect you to do everything you can to get a refund from the retailer.
