  • New build house warranty

Hi ,in February 2019 I bought a new build house and in september2019 I received my first water bill for 9000 pounds because of a water leak between the meter and the house. I called the builders and they said o let the water company do the repair and I did. Over one year later and the builder still don't want to pay for the water leak and the repair and can't seem to find a solicitor to take the case. any help would be appreciated

Was the leak due to poor workmanship?
Is the warranty backed by an insurance company?
Does your house insurance include legal expenses insurance?

I don't know what the reason is and the house has 2 years builders warranty and after that it has nhbc warranty. I'm not sure if my home insurance had legal expenses but I did not notify them as it was covered by the warranty and the builders said they will cover it.

Well check your house insurance for legal expenses cover.
If you have it they may take up the cudgels on your behalf and take the builder to task.

What do the warranties cover? Warranties are not all the same, so you need to find if the supply pipe is covered
