  • Argos not party to ‘the sales of goods act’

    Hello all,
I’ve not been about for a while, been rather ill, that I can talk about elsewhere if you want to know. I’m here because June last year after we moved into our new place we bought a new cooker from Argos (£239) the element has just blown for the second time, I contacted them and mentioned the sales of goods act, poor lass on the phone said it didn’t apply to them, anyway where do I turn? at the moment I have been quoted £86 for the repair, I can do it myself for £20 but that’s not the point.
Borrow money from a pessimist -- they don't expect it back.

Sale of Goods has been superseded, have a read of https://www.inbrief.co.uk/sales-law/...ghts-act-2015/
