    eBay seller does not want to ship after purchase - lost 300€

    Hello,

    I hope you can help me.

    I am not from GB, but ordered something for 5000€ in England on ebay. The purchase was completed and I payed with PayPal. The next day the seller canceled the purchase with no reason but PayPal only gave me back 4700€ because of the currency exchange rate.

    I either want the item I purchased or the 300€ back.

    I don't know British law, so I would be nice if you could help. Is it legal over there to cancel a purchase as private seller just like that? Over here this is not legal.

    What are my options now? Can I get a lawyer and sue for the item or the 300€?
