  • plumber botched job - unfit for purpose

Plumber did survey - assured me he was competent - A refitting of a small en- suite - comprising of a shower/tray , sink and wall panels, it was a complete disaster and not possible to use - the new shower was fitted incorrectly,(had it inspected and report done) panels hanging off wall, shower tray wrong size (provided by plumber) I was threatened if I didn't pay him - so did to get him to go! Ive closed the door and not looked for months but at the time wrote to the plumber and told him what a disaster it was and not fit for purpose.
Can I claim through small claims still to get it put right by a real bathroom fitter/plumber?

Assuming he has assets as charitynjw it sounds as if you could initiate a claim under Consumer Rights Act 2015 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/...ntents/enacted)
