Hello, an employee that we let sacked has put in a SAR request. He was only with us for a few months so there isn’t much.
I’ve read that I need to provide personal data we hold on the individual rather than all documents pertaining to the individual. In the case of a contract of employment it, do I just send the first page which is his name and address and the last page which has his signature? All other parts are generic information which form part of every contract we issue. The same for induction documents - do I just send the sheet with a signature?
The paper they’ve signed to say they’ve read contains no personal data on the employee. If indeed it is just a signature, is that then classed as Personal Data? Do I send the signature 17 times as we have it? Or if the only part of the document that is personal Data is the signature, is it relevant to send?
Grateful for any advice.
