    Hi

I'm back here with this, we came to an agreement for monthly payments, he has now moved the goal posts and stopped paying. I now need to take this to the next step and get a solicitor involved, my question is what type of solicitor do I need, one that knows about shares or just one that can deal with the debt? Help very much appreciated. thanks

Do you have that agreement in writing? NB this includes email, SMS, WhatsApp message etc.

A solicitor experienced in contract disputes should fit the bill.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
