  • Street performance/busking and tips, taxes and credit card terminals

    Hello

I am exploring the possibilities of using a credit card terminal for passers-by to tip my street performances. It turns out that using a terminal requires registering business. However, tips are not taxable, so the business would pay no taxes at all.

What is a legally permissible approach in such a situation? Is it okay to register as a sole trader street performer and to make no taxable income?

    Thank you.

Even on this issue, people are trying to avoid taxation. I was shocked when I looked up this https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/ca...rypto-8595972/. Now cryptocurrency is also used as a payment method. It makes sense that you would have to pay taxes.
I'm sure the likes of Amazon would disagree with you.
