  • Banks permitting charge backs to customers who have received their goods

We are a small but reputable business and perform vehilce recoveries and engine rebuilds. Since Covid 19 and the uncertainty of 2020 we have received a high number of charge backs where customers cars have been collected by the customer then they make a charge back the same day and the bank without even checking allows it to happen. Surely there is an Ombudsman that moderates this? I have 4 so far that's nearly £6000! I charge back was for a recovery service ordered and the customer changed their mind when it arrived !

Really helpful...I've been reading this. We have sent our own letters but the bank has still maintained their stance. One last question. Is there an actual template letter I can use ?
