  • Dormant ltd company question

    Hi..
Just after a little advice...please excuse if I sound daft i put my trust in my accountant but clearly I shouldn't if I'm on here asking you kind people for advice..
I have a ltd company which didn't take off at all was only set up in case I did any private work, I am a cis sole trader and have had more than enough work through this all my accounts as cis are up to date. My filings which have been submitted by my accountant for the ltd company have been put through as dormant and are up to date until March of this year.
I was asked last year to do a kitchen for a customer to cut a long story short I fitted she refused to pay as she didn't like so I was left with £2k of materials to pay but the materials were in ltd company name as when I set the company up I registered with a manufacturers.
the ltd company bank account was closed as nothing had gone through it and the invoice for materials I put through on my cis as I wanted a paper trail for work I intended to do.
my accountant didn't flag up the invoice for materials for the ltd company I put it in with last tax return the cis one, he only asked if this was the only job in the company name and because I didn't get paid would be classed as bad debt. Will it matter that he has filled a ltd company invoice into my personal tax return as appose to the dormant company?
any advice or solution greatly appreciated and thank you for reading.

Did you pay for the materials yourself?
