Hi
We had a one year lease on our office which ended on 30th January. We were thinking of staying on past this point but have decided not to.
I officially handed in our notice on 16th January.
The landlord has tried to negotiate us staying but we are unhappy with the property. There have been security issues, theft and now theres a mouse problem!
He is now saying that I have to give a further 3 months notice, even though our lease ended on 30th Jan AND I gave him a month on 16th Jan.
Given there are also issues with the property, is this right? I've read elsewhere that if a commercial lease goes past the end date on to a rolling contract, you DO have to give 3 months but id already given notice.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
