    Mary

Now is the time for your final letter before action and this should state that if they do not repay the mis-sold PPI, together with the interest they charged you and also the brokers fee and compensation ( add also charges if this is the case) you will have no alternative but to take your claim directly to the FOS and FSA and or through the courts to recover the monies.

Out of interest were you actually aware that you had PPI?

Were you informed that they would be adding this to your loan and did you agree to this?

Were you aware that PPI was included in the price you were paying?

Did the broker make you aware of the above facts?

Did you also have any charges for late payments, bounced DD's etc as this is reclaimable as well and you should mention this if this was the case in your final letter.

If you want to post a draft letter up here we can help you tidy it up.

You need to have a final letter from them to be able to take this matter to the FOS.

Definately keep on with Melbourne but a final letter and no more letters after that as you must then move forward. The FOS are slow but you will get compensation from them eventually.

yes keep at Melbourne the loan and PPI was on there agreement and was thus paid to them so they are responsible for the mis-sell what the broker does or does not say is nether here or there.

They took the money so it is they that pay it back along with the commission they paid the broker.

Just had a thought this only takes in into statutory interest at 8% but as this is paid up you want the compounded interest you paid back too at the rate you where charged.

So hang on ill do another.

Here you go, not sure of the actual date of agreement so I've put in the 1st November 2003 for now you can edit this date yourself. :beagle:

Mary this will be a good exercise for us as well as our loan seems to have more than doubled.

Let us all hope for a good result.

I am now posting the last letter + agreement from Melbourne / Prestige I am very down over this but I will fight them all the way as they are like GE Money who just con people I will not let this drop and will get M.P. etc and others involved as the FOS do not really do a lot by what I have read.
