  • Restriction on title deed

    Hi

i have a restriction on my land registry for my house.

its for a company called the mortgage point who was the broker I got the mortgage off back in 2006.

they sold me insurance policies back then and said I needed to have them to get my mortgage approved I agreed not knowing much about it and it being my first mortgage.

anyway I didn't keep up the insurance and cancelled it meaning in my contract terms with mortgage point I owed them money athe the time they sent me all the court papers but said if I registered a charge they wouldn't go to court. I did foolishly,!

now I have a charge on the house and all my research to date it looks like the mortgage point have gone out of business.

how would I go about getting this off the land registry if the company Is not trading anymore?

    any help much welcome

    cheers
