  • Lost N1 bundle (LiP)

Hi, I could use some procedural advice.

I posted a paper N1 claim to CNBC on 8 April 2026. It was delivered on 9 April 2026 by Special Delivery. I included a covering letter asking them to call me to take the issue fee by debit card.

I still have no claim number and no fee callback, despite chasing several times. Different agents have said different things. Today I have been told in webchat that the original pack may need to be traced internally as a possible data loss, and that resending may be quicker, provided I make clear it is not a new claim.

What is the correct procedure here?

    Should I:
    1. keep waiting for CNBC to trace the original pack,
    2. resend the full paper N1 bundle with a very clear covering letter saying it is a resubmission of the same claim and not a new claim, or
    3. do something else?

My main concern is avoiding duplicate proceedings or paying twice, while also not letting the claim disappear into a black hole.

Also, if I do have to resend:
    • can I amend the Particulars of Claim before resending, given that no claim number has been issued yet?
    • do I need to update the interest calculation to the new dispatch date, or does interest still run from the original invoice due dates rather than the resend date?
    • do I need to change the court fee figure or any total that depends on the issue date or dispatch date?

    Thanks.
