  • Vanquish default in 2019 CRF files says Lowell 2022

Hi, I wondered if you could please give me some advice.

In 2019 I had an accident and couldn’t work for 8 months. I defaulted on 2 of my credit cards. I later applied for 2 new cards and got them a year.apart. I have paid these cards on time ever month.

I’ve recently looked into my credit file with clear score. My score is only 570

1 card I paid in full and they removed the adverse data that was showing on clear score and it now only appears under closed cc account with a balance of zero no default of anything.

The issue here is the other card it was with VANQUIS. I missed 6 payments they automatically increased my limit twice then charged me all kinds of charges.

Vanquis registered a default in 2019. My credit file states Vanquis closed zero balance but LOWELL in default 2022. I’ve checked and this Lowell 2022 is the same as Vanquis 2019. Why is there a 3 year difference.

Lowell have offered me 60% off
someone said wait 18 months and the original 2019 debt with Vanquis will be wiped clean.

tbh I just want to improve my credit score should I just pay it all not 60% and if I do will my score improve or shall I do nothing?

I believe you guys are not the biggest fans of Lowell and I understand why as they kept hassling me until I changed my number

can you help with the best action to take please?
