  • O2

    Hi All,

I'd just like to ask some advice here, I had an account with VirginMedia which included an O2 sim, I never needed it, never used it or activated it and it's still sat in the drawer in the original packaging, the Sim was to be paid seperately to O2 although it was part of the Virgin package, due to having to move home to a non Virgin area I had to cancel my contract which I assumed included the Sim. I contacted O2 who said it was conpletely seperate to Virgin and was an 18 month contract with them, I argued this as it is on my Virgin order so it was part of the virgin package and therefore should be cancelled along with the Virgin contract, the person I spoke to agreed and I thought that was that.

3 months later I received a letter of termination as I had not paid the last 3 months bills and a charge of £335.68, also my credit file was updated to 3 months missed payments! Again I contacted O2 and spoke to someone and they again agreed this was a mistake, they would credit my account with the £335.68 to clear it, the derogatory information would be removed and that should be that.

    WRONG

O2 sent the £335.68 to an account I no longer have access to, registered a default on my credit file of which no letter of default was ever received and sold the account to Lowell!

Lowell are now hounding me to pay them,O2 don't want to know as it's been sold and not their concern anymore and I'm scratching my head over it all.

What can I do about it all??
