Debt collection

Hi Good afternoon
I've received a letter from Robinson way regarding a debt from welcome finance which I would say is from over 15 years ago. The letter states the company will visit my home to discuss this debt.
Am I right in thinking the debt should be cleared after 6 years? Do debt agencies have the right to demand money?
