  • First payment date is before the date I agreed to the contract

    Hi,

I contracted to make payment for an item over 8 months making payment each month. I accepted the contract however the dates were wrong and this was pointed out by the seller. They did not send me a new contract etc. I set up payment for the following month and that was that.

The seller has notified me that I am in breach of contract due to not making the first payment, which was retrospective to the date i agreed the contract. Where do i stand legally? In theory I have not breached my side because how could i make retrospective payment. Has the seller wrongly terminated the contract?
