  • Welcome Finance help???????

    Hi to all,

I am currently being requested by local county court on behalf of welcome finance after sending a letter askingfor an attachment of earnings for an outstanding balance of 20k with welcome after having a 7k with around 5 k interest car finance agreement taken out for my sins in 2007. I will try to add as much info as possible ad apologise if thisnmay be longwinded but I am really at my wits end with this company.

After taking the finance and agreed vehicle within only weeks off having car after a heavy nights rain i awoke to a completely sodden soaked interior in the including the dashboard I thought this was strange as the car was 6 years old and a volkswagon but thought it may of been one off and cleaned the car inside and dried this continued and over days got worse with water seaping onto the electrics and whilst driving steam and smoke was coming from the dashboard. I raised this issue with the garage that i bought the car from nothing... I raised this with welcome nothing... Whilst appreciating this is more with the garage i persued and put off with this and still nothing. I took a further look into myself took in to garage they couldnt find whe thebwater was coming from. Aftre time i could not leave the car out and i couldnt use and was parked in my garage where it now stays sorn. I got behind on repayments which at the time was £420 per month after numerous calls from welcome and numerous returned calls from muself the sent two agents around to resolve whu paymenstwerent being made not at the time i lost my job which is why i got behind however after discussing with these agents my situation and the cars situation i was told that they could halve the repayment which half of this was ppi payment was made over the phone whilst the agents was in my company by my parent and agreed next payment would be the agreed half of £210 and they would send a specialist to visit and check the car out and if this was faulty they wold happilyc hange the car to keep my business and agreement. Guess what this specialist never turned up and and the following month Welcome tried to extract the full amount from my bank account defualting with them and now having charges from the bank. This went on for some time with constant letters fining me for telephone calls that were made during the day when i wasnt even at home to which i believe was£50 per call. After some time with nothing being done my car not drive able failing MOT I received many letter with varios fines with the same spiel that if i make one ore payment they will change the repayments suit my new income and to resolve the issue of the car...... Nothing. Then came the threating letter with various debt collecting agencies. I hand wrote a letter recorded delivery to welcome finance at the head office asking for a full and final settlement along with them collecting the car and they didnt reply knowing that i knew that they had received the letter.

now 2013 and i am still in this postion only now receiving a letter hand delivered by a scruffy guy with no signature or date on it but with a reference number and a local county court stamp asking for attachment of earnings.

After hundreds and hundreds if horror stories from this company i just do not no which way to turn anymore and now 6 yrs on from the agreement which was originall singed in may 2007 at this point.

any help and advice would be extremely appreciated.

    many thanks
