I have been paying Halifax/BOS/BLS for around 2 years for my part of an overdraft on a joint account (spouse had a trust deed which is complete but not yet paid out). In Jan this year BLS said they had not received the Dec 2011 payment. When I went to my Halifax branch to pay the Jan 12 payment, I was told the account had been closed and they could not accept any more payments from me. Also, they repaid the money I had paid in December. I contacted BLS and told them about this asking them to clarify. BLS continued to write to me asking me to phone them - I phone them four more times between Jan and April with the same information - they just kept writing telling me I had to phone them. At no time have they responded to the information I gave them nor have they provided any alternative solution.
Now I have received a letter from Halifax saying they have passed the matter to dryden fairfax.
I wrote a letter to Halfiax and copied it by email to dryden fairfax. I also noted that the trustees dealing with my spouses trust deed have written to all creditors stating that the trust deed is complete and indicating the amount (around 30 pence in the pound) that they can expect.
Any ideas about what I should do next, much appreciated.
