  • Charges by Jacobs on Payment card!!!

    Hi
I sent out letters to everyone I owed with a breakdown of earnings and expenditure and showed which were priority debts etc.. I made offers which were reasonable to non priority debts. Today I have recieved a letter and payment card from Jacobs accepting my offer (on a loan for rent in advance from Council) but they are charging £2 for every payment I make!! I only offered £5 a month!! Can they really charge that much? They state they will take me to court if I dont make payments, would this be easier so that I can pay direct instead? My credit history crap anyway so another CCJ wont make any difference!! The other company, that I classed as a priority debt as I have a CCJ for part of it, is South West Water. They have not acknowledged my letter or offer but instead have sent me payment slips for amounts that are so high I would lose my home if I had to pay them!! What should I do now?

    Thanks
    DEbi
