  • Lowell, Lapsed CCJ & 12 year old Mobile Phone Debt

    Hi Group,

would love some advise on the best way to deal with Lowell ref a debt they are chasing me for which was for an Orange mobile phone account that’s 12 years old. Now this account was pushed for a CCJ 7 years ago and has since lapsed off of my credit file

I received a letter from Lowell pushing for a discounted settlement so wrong assumed I could send them a SB letter however only afterwards did I realise that liability has been granted meaning I couldn’t push for a SB removal.

Some further Googling has led me to believe that Lowell would need to apply for the courts in order to be allowed to push for any collection activities (I am sure peeps in the know what the technical term for what I am trying to say is) and that its highly unlikely courts will grant this due to the time period passed.

But - what’s the best way to move forward for this ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Scott
