So we owed £1400 for council tax, tried numerous occasions in the phone to them to try and come to a payment plan but they just won't help at all so we did it ourselves payed £100 a month and we got it down to just below £700 then the other day then send someone round and they added a further £235 onto it. We can't pay it all off in one go I just feel they are being unreasonable so we are going to just continue with what we were doing and we are not going to pay the £235 they added. What is our rights?
