Hi,
just checking back through our credit reports and there is an old Debenhams store card that my partner hadn't used since 2006. We had moved and forgotten to change our address on it so it had a gone away marker placed on the credit report. We updated them with our new address in 2014. At no point during this time did we not pay the minimum monthly balance as we had a direct debit set up.
Having looked further into it, there was a £400 limit set on the card but the card hadn't been used since 2006, so there appears to be a discrepancy in the amount of money paid as money was being paid in but no money was being taken off the balance (as shown on the credit report). I have sent SAR letter to New Day and am just awaiting that back.
My question is (if anyone can help please) should we have been receiving statements from New Day to show how much money was being paid off and what interest was being charged.
Many thanks
Jo
