  • Early pay-off of CCJ. What happens then? Nolans/MS Portfolio/Cabot

Four years ago, due to a misunderstanding between myself and my representative, a judgement was awarded against me to an old Cabot/MFS Portfolio agreement that I had been contesting for years. The marker is on my credit file until 2027, though the final payment is due in December this year.

I'm considering just paying it off in August. My question is: who marks the debt as settled? Nolan's, or MFS Portfolio? And do I have to contact either of them to request this? And what happens if they refuse or neglect to amend the data?
