    Cannot get personal loan due to 1 historic default

    Just asking for some advice.

    I'm struggling to get personal loans from my bank.

    I have a default that was registered June 2018.

    This default should be classed as historic, and has only 7 months left on my credit file before it drops off.

    Can someone please help.

    I am unable to get loans due to this 1 default.

    There is only 1 hard search on my credit file which is a year old.

    I am in good payment history as I have 4 credit cards, which is why I want a loan so I can pay the cards off.

    Any suggestions please on what to do?
