Excess Mileage payment.

Any advice please.

I am VT my car as I have paid over half the total cost.

The finance company have said I am liable for the excess mileage on the vehicle.
Over the 4 year term I was allowed 40843. I am terminating early and the company says it should be at 32903. It is currently at 48100. Am I still liable for the mileage?
I am aware of the CCA act 173 but has anyone resolved this?
