Hi all
I have been a long time reader of the forums, but only just managed to get signed up!
I'm looking for some advice on an issue. I used to have a bank account with Barclays which went in to an unarranged overdraft in error but was forgotten about with all post going to an old address.
I note that they subsequently defaulted the account having never sent a default notice. Apparently, because unarranged overdrafts are not covered by the CCA, institutions don't need to send a default notice and they can default it anyway. Further more, Barclays did send a termination notice which made reference to it being a "non-default" termination.
I wonder if anyone could help by advising whether they can actually do that?
Many thanks,
Tony
