  • mis sold natwest gold account

Hi thought I'd just let people know how easy it was to take on NatWest about mis selling me the gold account... All it took was for me to log onto the internet banking site and click on the live chat I explained on there that I thought I'd been mid sold the account and my reasons why the main one being never being explained about the freebies that came with it so have never used them also I only really needed an account to pay the odd wages into as I was self employed at the time and mainly got paid cash, they said they would pass the details on and I would hear in a few weeks time from an adviser the next step, a couple weeks later I got a letter saying they were looking into it but it was taking longer as I opened the account back in 04 .
Another couple of weeks went by I received a final decision letter yes they agree I was missold the account as they couldn't find the original signed agreement But they would only be paying back the fees with interest up to 2009 as their records show they sent out revised account agreements so I should have spoken to some one then... So basically they have paid for not even half the amount of the term I've had the account ....

It is now in the hands of the financial ombudsman who when I spoke to them haven't come to a decision yet wether the banks are acting lawfully by getting round paying out the full term after agreeing mis selling a product but apparently my claim is being added to the ever increasing pile of complaints about all banks so watch this space ....

But if you think you've been mid sold your account put the claim into the bank that part was easy
