Lloyds TSB classic account/service charges???

Please does anyone know or remember what "Services charges" were for on Lloyds TSB classic bank account? In the 90's.

Fees varied from £5 maybe £8 a month?

I know this is not exactly a packaged account but just wondering what he service charges were in aid of?
