Hi, I have just been forwarded a three month old letter from bailiffs delivered to a previous address. The letter notifies me that they have visited, that I wasn't there, and that I owe more than £400.00 for a PCN issued by a London council in April last year. I don't remember getting the PCN and I usually pay anything straight away. However, I must concede that it is possible that I forgot about it. My driving licence at the time was registered to my old address and at the time I was working away. As it happens I did not return to the address on my driving licence and currently have lodgers there. No letters have been forwarded to me from my old address to any of the six or seven addresses I have been in while working across the country. I am now lodging at my seventh new address (while working) and I have recently changed my driving licence address since I have been here for more than 6 months. It did not seem worth my while before. I don't really know what to do. I certainly can't afford the £400 and it seems so unfair. I would have happily paid the PCN had I got it. Does anyone have any advice?
