Hi Everyone.
I moved into my current property a year ago. Ive just recently received a letter from BW Legal saying they acquired a CCJ in 2014 against me for a catalogue debt at my old address (case number also given) and are now chasing for the full amount of £1400, threatening with escalation/baliffs/etc
I honestly have no knowledge of this debt at all, let alone for the amount they are saying and the CCJ is not recorded on my credit rating, nor can i find it on the Trust website after having paid the fee.
I have asked via email for proof of this CCJ and it has never been provided. Ive recently suffered a stillbirth and have another young daughter. Im suffering with depression and this has just made it worse. If i end up with baliffs on my doorstep for this supposed debt, my husband will go absolutely ballistic, even though i have no knowledge of it whatsoever! I really dont know what to do.
