Any advice would be very much appreciated. My friend bought a sofa and chair from SCS, in the shop only the chair was available to see, she told them that she lived in a second floor flat and asked if this would be a problem, she was told no and they said they wouldn't have a problem getting it in for her. On delivery, they couldn't fit the couch in and said she would have to have the door removed and another date for delivery arranged. She did this and on second attempt they still couldn't get it in, this time saying she would need to have the window removed. Her landlord disagreed to this so after going back to SCS they said instead of £200 as a good will gesture, she only needed to pay £75 for them to dismantle the sofa and rebuild it once inside her flat. She agreed to this and they have now come back to her saying it can't be dismantled and her only option is to have the window removed. She is getting nowhere with them and feels she was misled when they sold it to her, they didn't give her any measurements for the sofa when she bought it as they reassured her they would have no problem getting into her flat. Does she have any rights regarding refund/credit note to order one that will fit?
