Hi, my husband works for an Agency which supplies hgv drivers for one company. He did have a full time contract however after a major operation he asked to go back on reduced hours, he was told he had to resign from his contact and then work part time. He has never had a new contract and we now presume he is on a zero contract as some weeks he gets work and some no work. He had a small bump when driving into a company with a very narrow road and cars parked either side. he accepts it was his fault misjudging how narrow it was and reporting it to his company and taking photos. the company said he had to go in for a driving assessment which he did and told no problems with his driving & they would check with insurance and he could then go back to work. He rang chasing as not had any update only to be told he was suspended for 4 weeks until they check with their insurance company. he had no formal meeting and nothing in writing. Has this been done correctly?
