  • starting a new business with previous employers stock

hello i'm new to the forum and in need of advice

The company i was employed by has gone into liquidation and I am start my own business.

I have some questions regarding goodwill and contacting clients

If i buy the liquidated stock will goodwill be required of me ?
can i contact my old clients if the company is in liquidation ?
if i don't buy any assets from my previous employment can i avoid goodwill ?

i'm not sure if goodwill is applicable as i will be starting a completely new company with some old clients .

any advice would be greatly appreciated
