  • Akinika nhs dental problem.

Hello. Recently i have been contacted by akinika stating that i owed £158 to the nhs for incorrectly claiming i was on jobseekers allowance at the time of treatment and therefore had to pay the changes, this is about 3 years ago. Thing is i was on universal credit at the time of me recieving the treatment not jobseekers however the dentist form didnt have universal credit as one of the entitalment tick boxes as it was a new scheme to the area at the time and was told to "just to tick the jobseekers box since universal credit was replacing it" being 17 at the time i thought they probably knew what they were talking about so i did. A few months later i get a letter from the nhs themselves about this matter and i sorted it all out over the phone and sent my letters showing i was on universal credit at the time to the addresses i was given over the phone. Never heard about it again so i assumed it was all fine and dandy. Forward 3 years ive moved recieve this letter from akinika and im really confused! Would i be able to contact hmrc to get the letters saying i was on universal credit sent to me again so i can send it to akinika and explain this mess? Im at a loss!
