Hello please can somebody help.
i have worked for my company for 8 years i have never had 1 day off sick( until now) in the last 2 years i have received 2 promotions so obviously i was seen as doing a good job, in the last 4 months i have been put forward for 2 awards one from a colleague and one from our client. However in the last 5 weeks we have had 2 new mangers start and for the first week i did not think anything of it but i was warned by somebody that they did not like me and were going to put pressure on me in the hope i crack. Slowly but surely they piled more and more work onto me and not anybody else in the office, i continued to do all the work which meant do longer hours, sometimes 13 in a day. Many times the supervisors would comment god they are out to get you. 2 weeks ago a supervisor asked to stand down to his previous role and this was accepted, thinking of my long term future i decided to do the same so i handed in my letter, beginning of last week one of the managers approached me and said i do a good job and he didn't want me to stand down, however on the Friday the other manager took me into their office and said this.
" i will not accept your letter to stand down because i don't think you could do the job as you can't do the job your doing very well so you got 2 options A) resign or B) i will put you on a PIP. i asked the reasons and was quoted " you sent an email and did not cc me in"
i have sent in a grievance to senior management however i am not confident this will be dealt with correctly as he is very friendly with my manager if you get my drift. I have been signed off with stress for 2 weeks however i am worried they will try and sack me in the mean time, it is clear she does not like me but i am unclear where i go from here, in my eyes i can't return there as i think i will be hounded now i have put in the grievance.
can somebody please give me some advice do i have a case for unfair dismissal if i resign? can they sack me while on the sick? what about my grievance?
many thanks in advance.
