  • Help needed please with council planning which has been approved

Hi, any advice or help is much needed. We received a letter regarding a proposed extension that our neighbours are planning. The house in question is on a raised area and the extension has practically floor to ceiling Windows including velux Windows. We put in our objection and reasons why. After a few days the actual drawing of the proposed plan was removed from the council website. Everything else was available the application, my objection etc. My neighbour was also planning on objecting also as this effects her property more. However, when she went online to try and put in her objection the proposed drawings were still not available. Due to our ignorance we assumed due to my objection that the plans were being reevaluated. My neighbour has no internet access however, her family help her with these things as she is a pensioner. We kept on checking the council website every other day but the drawing were still unavailable. But on Friday we received a letter of the approved plans. I obviously contacted the planning dept and they said they had computer problems and then asked me what IP address I was using? Told them that use my phone and iPad. I was informed to write all this information and send by email. Which I have done. My concern is on the letter sent to us from the council state that once planning has been approved you cannot appeal. I think this drawing was taking down to prevent any objections it's funny it disappeared a few days after my objection. But appeared the day of approval. I have written all this in my email. My neighbour feels she has been cheated out of her objection. Our objection was overruled as they felt that the person who would have been more affected by the plans would be my neighbour who didn't object.
I can provide drawings etc if someone can please advise what I can do. My property privacy will be affected by this new extension. I have no objection to the size of the building it is just the amount of Windows facing right into my back bedroom.
