    Hi
my long term girlfriend has told me she wants to split up, it came out of the blue as we've got on well for year and hardly ever argue etc.
i was suspicious that she was having an affiair so started to do some digging.
what I found horrified me, it seem she has been planning leaving me for the last 6 months.
i found lists of outgoing so etc on her own and also a phone number for a guy that works at her place.
i also found lists of things I have done going back 17 years.
i admit that when we got together I diddnt treat her well sometimes and could get quite angry. The newest entry is over 10 years old as I'm a changed person.
i haven't acted that way for over a decade and think she is going to try to use it to get me out of the house.
i threatened to hurt her dad 17 years ago during an argument but it was said in the heat of the moment.
ive never hit her or anything like that and never would.
i need some advice on what to do.
we have a 16.5 year old son who has just finished school and the house is in my name which we own.
if it's over it's over and I would want to sell the house and give her her share.
    any advice would be appreciated
    robert
