Welcome/Daial4aLoan/Aviva

Hoping someone can advise me. I took out a loan with Welcome Finance in 2004 (I paid it back in 2005). I paid £2600 ppi upfront on a single premium. I am self-employed so I was clearly mis-sold. Anyway, Welcome are saying I need to go through the broker who sold me this loan.. Dial for a loan. I have also read that maybe I should claim the ppi back via the under-writer who is Aviva. Can any kind person help? Thank you in advance x
