I'm wondering whether someone could help with a query. Within my work place we have recently tuped and merged with other companies. I understand that tupe protects my contract but for new employees that are been hired on the new contract and terms and conditions they are being employed on a lower rate of pay.
As you can imagine this is causing an affect on the psychological contract. I wondered whether anything can be done about the pay under the equal pay act/ equality act or does this only cover discrimination against sex/disability/race or another protected characteristic. Or can a claim be paid under like work for doing the exact same job at a different level of pay??
