  • New member. Welcome advice

    Hello.
I took out a loan with Welcome finance back in 2005.
I still had outstanding balance, but was made redundant and came into a lot of financial trouble. I never repayed all the loan.
I own a property in witch the loan was secured on. I currently have this property for sale, and the sale is due to be completed within the next few weeks.

The welcome loan has been removed from my credit report, and due to them no longer being in existence, I didn't think much of the matter. However it has flagged up on the Title Deeds of the property.
The property is an older property and I have had to accept a very low price to get it sold, with me not making much profit at all.

The problem now comes that the profit would not be enough to cover the balance of the outstanding loan from welcome!

I'm looking for advice as to if I am still liable to pay back the Welcome loan, due to them no longer being in existence. Or has another company taken on their books etc???
