new to the forum - did a post about recent court claim - before saying hi
Been strugging with Debt for 9 years - using cards and loans to start up a business which failed - leaving me with lots of debt
using some techniques in this forum and others
paid 50% off MBNA CC - satisfied
got Barclays to drop £8k no CCA
Santandar - only £250 debt created from charges on charges of an account i paid and closed - but 4 years later they said i owed them £250 - in total 9 years later - i have said always i never acknowledge this debt - took them to FSA ombudsman - paid by the banks, sit on the fence - they don't listen and as Cahoot provided nothing - they said £100 off total because they didn't responded to my CCA request - out or principle i got the ombudsman investigated by another fence sitter OB who didn't want to investigate or collate more info - so i then sat their for a day writing up every date, payment and the fact was if they paid the £30 refund in to the bank and not sent in the post by cheque - non of the other charges could have been set - but Santandar said the OB answer was FINAL and no more evidence will change - so next course is unclear but there is a body who will check out the OB conduct - but feel wasting my time
The others not so easy :-
EGG £13k - lovely bank taking £5/month never bothered me - sold to APEX which is now CABOT !! great
can see what will happen now
Lloyds TSB - £11k Credit Card - again been taking £5k for ages - as CABOT also taking £5/month for years - want to review now - we will see how that goes
Capital One CC - £8k - this was sold as a BUSINESS CARD - which was great for the business - but the business failed and under CCCS suggestion been paying £5/Month but shouldn't be as its a business account and the company is dissolved so shouldn't be liable - Hoping to have this Quashed soon
The one just got Court claim - Northern Rock PLC £25k+ £10k interest loan over 10 years in 2008 - total left to pay £31k - this was a business loan but somehow Northern Rock did as personal loan - so trying to sort that - they wont provide evidence and the CCA was in my name as a personal loan - but as a desperate businessman trying to keep the jobs of employees - i just signed it and gave the bookkeeper the details to pay the instalments - I know !!! Stupid me....
