Today through the post I got a letter from Lowell saying I owe them £22.11 for a debt going back to Oct 2023. It said it was a debt purchased from O2. I know it's not much but although I work full time as a nurse I'm really struggling. Do I have to pay it? I called them and they said it was a shortfall on a phone contract. But I've always been with O2 and this was an old phone which accidentally went for a swim down the toilet. Also that year my old email got hacked so I can't access it. They tried to get my new email but I wouldn't give it. Is it a scam?
