No default notice ?

Hi, I need some help. I am not good with finances and hadn't checked my credit file assuming my two loans had defaulted. They were from 2020. Now I cannot remember if I received default notice but have never been chased by company and thought I was in default and it would fall off in six years. Now having checked file they have been getting listed as missed payments for five years. Have raised a dispute through credit agency but could really do with advice incase they never issued default notice and what I can do
