Hi,
I thought I posted this the other day but it mustn't have worked properly as I can't see it, apologies if it did work and I just can't see it and this is a repeat post but I was just wondering if there is anything else we should be doing.
Myself and 1 other family member were named beneficiaries and left a house that was to be sold and split equally between us in our grandparent's will. There have been a number of issues since this regarding probate etc. I'll try to keep it in simple points to make this easier to read.
1) They took a very long time to act upon the will - almost a year to do anything at all.
2) They broke the terms of their will and allowed someone to live in the house (it was stipulated nobody was to stay there).
3) They tried to get us to sign a contract that would change the will so they got the inheritance.
4) The house was finally sold but one of them wouldn't sign the papers so the sale fell through.
I have been told by another family member that another offer has been accepted on the house and I'd like to do anything we can to honor our grandparent's wishes.
