  • Installation of new telegraph pole

    Hi,

    Sorry if wrong forum

I've received a letter this week from a company advising that they are going to erect a new telegraph pole next to my property for overland fibre broadband

I have contacted them and they've said they don't need planning permission etc under general permitted development and the communications act 2003.

The initial letter just included a rough map and no details of placing. They've since given me a position which is approx 3mtr from my door step.

There are already several lamp posts and telegraph poles on the street which they say they cannot use.

I've engaged with my MP who has wrote to me saying he is also alarmed by the proposal and has contacted them for information. However he has stated he can't force then to do anything which I understand

They have said I can write to them with objection but stated it would likely be dismissed or taken to county court.

The objection is to be sent to them, they've already said they are likely to dismiss it. How is that a fair process?

    What else can I do?

I can give more details if needed
