  • 'occupation' as a characteristic of the equality act 2010

As it stands the equality act of 2010 does not protect 'occupation' as a characteristic, and so ill be looking at arguments for and against this amendment. This suggested addition would eliminate any opportunity for sex workers to suffer at the hands of discrimination. Some see this change as imperative. However, others feel this change will increase the rates of hate speech and hate crimes. I welcome any ideas, comments, and resources.
