Car financ VT charges

My wife has just voluntarily terminated her car finance with motonovo finance, she has paid over the 50% and the car has been collected by a third party company and Taken to auction, the finance company are now trying to charge us £500 for some above wear and tear damage, scratches etc. The car was in very good condition for 9 years old and I took pictures the day it left.
what are our rights? She looked after the car, it had all its regular services and left with no faults
