My partner has had £300 taken from her salary with no advanced warning for a NVQ level 3 in childcare course, which she did not complete in time. The employer told her she would be liable for the course cost and may face the sack in a disciplinary, which she was made to sign in acknowledgement, but not a formal document as far as I'm aware. Would like some feedback on this nonsense and whether she would be liable for repayment? Or they wouldve received funding as an early years provider. Any employment clauses related to aforementioned would be appreciated.
